WOSB and EDWOSB Certification

Women business owners can now compete for contracts via the women-owned small business (WOSB) program. The program authorizes federal contracting officers to set-aside contracts for WOSBs especially those that are considered "economically disadvantaged" (EDWOSBs). The new set-aside ruling in effect levels the playing field as you will be competing only with other WOSBs and EDWOSBs.

Be one of the first WOSBs to hit the ground running as set-asides are made available.  In order to take advantage of set-asides, you must be a certified WOSB or EDWOSB. The self-certification process involves completing and filing documents required by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Fedmarket simplifies the process with the WOSB eCertify Wizard.

Fedmarket's WOSB eCertify Wizard walks you through the requirements behind the WOSB and EDWOSB certification processes. Our product assists you in completing the documents, certifications and registrations necessary to participate in the program.  Once you have completed the Wizard and submitted the necessary paperwork to the SBA, you will be eligible to submit proposals for contracts set aside for WOSBs and EDWOSBs.

As a special offer, Fedmarket is offering our WOSB Federal Sales Program, free of charge, to our customers who purchase the WOSB and EDWOSB eCertify Wizard.

In order for contracting officers to award you business, they must first know you are a certified WOSB and/or EDWOSB. Certified businesses should get out front now with their sales efforts and tell contracting officers that they are certified and are seeking business.

How the WOSB Federal Sales Program works:

  1. You will complete a capabilities questionnaire (the WOSB Questionnaire) for your company.
  2. The data gleaned from the questionnaire will be entered into an online database and an access link to the database (with search instructions) will be sent by e-mail 6 times a year to more than 48,000 federal contracting officers.
  3. Contracting officers can search the database by NAICS code, company name or keyword to find companies for WOSB/EDWOSB contract awards.
