You are a company seeking to do business with the Federal government. You want to have a basic understanding of the Federal government procurement process. The course will focus on:

  1. What are the differences between a Federal government contract and a commercial contract?
  2. What are the rules of the game? The course will review different laws and regulations that your company needs to understand in doing business with the Federal government
  3. Who are the key players involved in a government procurement?
  4. How your business size offers opportunities and the Small Business preference programs
  5. The bidding process: Sealed Bidding, Two Step Sealed Bidding and Negotiated Procurements
  6. The protest, dispute and appeal process
  7. The Uniform Contract Format
  8. The Types of Contracts: Fixed, Cost Type Contracts, indefinite delivery, requirements contracts, indefinite quantity contracts, time and materials contracts, and basic ordering agreements
  9. What happens after the contract is awarded and how is the contract administered?
  10. Relevant clauses that impact contractor’s performance

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellation notification must be received one week prior to the seminar date. Upon notification, your registration fee will be refunded less a $100 non-refundable processing fee. Any cancellations beyond the one week period are non-refundable. You may reschedule at any time. If you reschedule to attend another seminar, we will apply your payment toward your new registration fee. Personnel substitutions may be made at any time. Payment must be received prior to the seminar date. No shows are liable for the full seminar fee and refunds will not be given
