As part of the WOSB eCertify Workshop price, Fedmarket is offering the following WOSB sales program for companies that attend the workshop:

  • Companies completing the certification program will complete a capabilities questionnaire for their company.
  • Company capabilities will be entered into an online WOSB Certified Companies Database and an access link to the database will (with search instructions) will be emailed to 48,000 federal contracting officers every month.
  • Contracting officers will access the database by NAICS code or keyword to find companies for WOSB contract awards.
  • The first email to contracting officers will be sent before February 4, 2011, the implementation date of the new WOSB program.

WOSB eCertify Workshop

The Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced the final rules for the new Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) preference program for federal contracts. Sometimes referred to as the 8(m) Program, SBA has established the first federal program providing preferences for women owned companies in federal contracting. State programs do not qualify for preference status at the federal level.

Fedmarket has created the WOSB eCertify Workshop to allow your organization to complete the paperwork required for WOSB certification quickly and simply.

*** Your industry must be one of the 83 industries defined by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes; industries where Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) are "under-represented" or "substantially under-represented" in federal contracting.  Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSBs) will have access to set-asides in both the under-represented and substantially under-represented categories while WOSB will have access to set-asides in just the substantially under represented category. If your industry is NOT represented on either of these lists you will not benefit by attending this workshop.

How the WOSB eCertify Workshop Works

Our proven method is built around three pillars: come prepared, get hands-on with your application, and work alongside WOSB subject matter experts to complete the application for WOSB certification. The result is a completed WOSB self-certification package.

Come Prepared

When you sign up to participate in the WOSB eCertify Workshop, our subject matter experts confirm with you that you meet certain minimum eligibility criteria. You are also emailed a Request for Information (RFI) document. This details very specifically the information you need to collect and bring with you to the workshop, which government systems you need to be signed up for, and which tax forms and supporting documents will need to be filed with the application. Each RFI is tailored for each type of corporate entity: corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietorship so no matter your corporate profile, the RFI will have you covered.

Hands-On Event

Fedmarket's  experienced WOSB consultants will lead you through a hands-on working event, the result of which will be your completed WOSB self-certified package.

Knowledge of the WOSB program, documents needed, and evaluation procedures are not required because of the intuitive approach used to create and assemble the WOSB self-certified package.

Upon arriving at the WOSB eCertify Workshop, you will be directed to your own desktop computer. You will use the same computer for the duration of the event.  All of your corporate data may be stored on that computer and you alone will have access to that data. At the conclusion of the event all corporate data will thereafter be deleted.

You will be given detailed instructions on preparing the WOSB self-certification package. Among other learning tools, you will be given detailed templates, writing guidelines and in-depth insight from our subject matter expert to assist in the preparation.

There are many pieces of information that you will handle over the course of the workshop. We are here to assist you in keeping track so you can focus on ensuring that the information you are entering into forms and text you are creating is correct, accurate and positions you to complete a professionally prepared self-certification package. This is achieved by keeping track of your progress using the milestones table and the checklist that are incorporated into the WOSB package that you are provided with.

Result of the WOSB eCertify Workshop

The result of the WOSB eCertify Workshop is that you will have a professionally prepared WOSB self-certification package.

  1. Completed self-certifications for the federal Online Certifications and Representations website
  2. Completed document files for federal WOSB repository
  3. Insights to leverage your status in the federal marketplace.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Requests to cancel one's attendance must be received fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the registrant's seminar date. Provided the request to cancel is received with fourteen (14) calendar days' advance notice, your registration fee will be refunded less a $1,000 nonrefundable processing fee. Requests to reschedule to a future date will be will be granted at no extra charge provided the request to reschedule to a future seminar date is received 24 hours prior to start date of seminar. Once you reschedule you forfeit the right to a cancellation refund. Any second requests to reschedule, or reschedule requests made less than 24 hours prior to start date of seminar will incur a rescheduling fee of $1,000. You will be rescheduled to a future seminar date provided that you pay the $1,000.00 rescheduling fee. Note that the $1,000.00 fee is higher than our normal cancellation fee because registrants receive valuable information, in advance, regarding WOSB and the preparation of offers. Any cancellations received within thirteen (13) days of the scheduled seminar date will result in forfeiture of the entire seminar fee. All payments must be received prior to the seminar date. Registrants who fail to show for a scheduled seminar will not receive any refunds whatsoever.
